Chloe Wang

Chloe He-Niang Wang was born on the traditional lands of the Jumano, Tonkawa, Lipan Apache, Coahuiltecan, Sana, and Comanche peoples, and was raised and resides in Lenapehoking, the traditional region of the Lenni-Lenape people. With roots in the loess plateau of North China and the Texas hill country, she is a yellow rose grown from yellow earth, a fire rat by birth (on the Chinese zodiac) and a river rat by trade. Having found her way from the Blanco to the Hudson to the tidal Schuylkill River, she facilitates community boating, fishing, and river science programs at Bartram’s Garden in Southwest Philadelphia, and explores creative practices of visual art, movement, writing, and music.
